Tammie Davis, Director

Hello~!  My name is Tammie Davis.  I've  started working at Kid's Care America on August 26th, 2013 in the Preschool room.  I'm excited to have the opportunity to work with the children that are here.  Before coming to Kid's CAre America, I worked for the Children's Center of Tazewell Co. Inc. for 19 years.  I began working as a student aid.  Over the years, I worked my way up from assistant to director.  During this time, I received my Associates in Early CHildhood in 2002.  I've had experience with working with children ages 15 months to 7 years old.  My main position was teacher for the 4 year olds.  I enjoyed this age, but look forward to new experiences and challenges.  Outside of working with children, I work on an ice cream concession trailer during the summer time with my family since 1992.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband (Bob) , 2 boys (AJ and Jeff) and my granddaughter (Gracelynn).  I also enjoy fishing, gardening, reading and playing games.  I'm also involved in Boy Scouts with my son AJ. With all the old and new experiences that I've had, I believe your child will have lots of opportunitieis to grow.  If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to let me know.  I will do my best to help your child grow through their experience at Kid's Care America

Jen Myers, Pre-K Teacher

Hello, My name is Jen and I'm excited to get to teach in Pre-K. I started working with children 23 years ago. It is a privilege to get to be a part of preparing your children for kindergarten. I have learned many things from the children and their families over the years. There is never a dull moment with this profession. I see each child as a unique individual with valuable opinions.

Morgan White, Infant Teacher

I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends in my spare time. Photography is a passion and side job. I'm a lover of the arts-music, paintings, sculptures, etc. I love going to art galleries and seeing live music. Having younger siblings, I have always loved children. My husband and I dont have any of our own yet, but we are trying to start our family.

Kimberly Spellious, Beginner Teacher

Hello, I am Kim.  I have been at Kid's Care America since December 2007.  I graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1997 with a Social Work degree.  I then received my Juris Doctorate at Sourthern Illinois University - School of Law.  Since college, I have worked a variety of jobs including a legal assistant, office manager, and daycare teacher.  In college, I had the great opportunity to do an internship at a domestic violence shelter.  I worked with children that stayed at the center.  I love working with children.  I believe that children are important to our future.  In addition, the best way to make a difference in a child's life is to let them know they are loved and help them learn at an early age.

Moreover, I have two children of my own that are 11 and 13.  I enjoy spending time at home with my family.  I like to think that I treat your children with the respect and care that I have for my own two children.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child.

Stephanie Hawkinson, Beginner Teacher

I have two nieces that are 8 and 9 and a nephew that is 5.  I love spending time with them and try to as often as I can.  In my free time I also enjoy rollerblading, biking and swimmng.

I really enjoy working with children and am happy to have your child in our class!!

Ashley Wagley, Preschool Teacher

Hello Families! I'm Ms. Ashley. This is the third center and by far my favorite to work at. The families here are the best. I have worked as a floater when I first started and then moved to the Intermediate room. Last fall I worked in the Pre-K room. In Aug 2017, I will be the lead teacher of the preschool room. I've worked in the preschool room at the other daycares that I was employed at, so its an age that I feel comfortable with.

I have two little boys and a stepson that keep me busy outside of work. It's great to work at such a great place with such great families and children to brighten my days.
