Brittany Evans, Director
My name is Brittany Evans, and I have recently just became the director here at Kid's Care America. I did have a part in opening Kid's Care America back in 2007. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Eureka College and currently working towards my Masters in Early Childhood. Prior to becoming the director here, I taught and coached middle school students in a local school district. I also have taught at Kid's Care America in every room, and even have cooked for an entire summer.
I am married with 2 children. My son, Jackson, will be three this year and my daughter, Lilly, will be nine. My daughter attended Kid's Care America before going on to school and had wonderful experiences, and my son is currently in the Beginner room.
I thoroughly enjoy working with children and their families. Because my children are the ages that they are, I, more than likely, have experienced many of the things that you experience with your child or children. I am a collector of information. I love to get lots of information and then use the things that work best for my children and family! I love to pass this information on to other families and if I don't know the answer to a question or a problem, I will help you find one!

Kimberly Spellious, Beginner Teacher
Hello, I am Kim. I have been at Kid's Care America since December 2007. I graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1997 with a Social Work degree. I then received my Juris Doctorate at Sourthern Illinois University - School of Law. Since college, I have worked a variety of jobs including a legal assistant, office manager, and daycare teacher. In college, I had the great opportunity to do an internship at a domestic violence shelter. I worked with children that stayed at the center. I love working with children. I believe that children are important to our future. In addition, the best way to make a difference in a child's life is to let them know they are loved and help them learn at an early age.
Moreover, I have two children of my own that are in third and fourth grade. I like to think that I treat your children with the respect and care that I have for my own two children. I am looking forward to working with you and your child.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband (Bob) and 2 boys (AJ and Jeff). I also enjoy fishing, gardening, reading and playing games. I'm also involved in Cub Scouts with my son AJ. A little background on me is that I have an Early Childhood Education degree and experience with toddlers and 2-4 year olds. I also have an Elementary Education degree and teaching experience. My heart has been with Preschool and getting students ready for Kindergarten, and introducing the love of learning, reading, and play in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. We are going to have such a great time fostering friendships and learning in our room. When I am outside of the classroom, being with my family and friends means the most to me in life. Some things I enjoy are walking, photography, embroidery, and helping others in need when able.
